AFA-PSA Flight Attendants Picket At Dayton International Airport For A Living Wage
PSA Airlines flight attendants are continuing to demand change. Dayton 24/7 Now's Kysha Hancock was at Dayton International Airport Monday where flight attendants gathered for a nationwide day of action in hopes of getting double digit pay, boarding pay and scheduling improvements.
"We need a contract now, we need a living wage for our flight attendants, our new flight attendants their starting wage is $24,000 a year," said Becky Black with PSA Airlines' negotiating team and flight attendant. Black has been a flight attendant for nearly 22 years. She told Hancock the time for change is now, after three years of fighting for higher wages for PSA Airlines flight attendants.
Black said the starting wage of $24,000 is simply not a livable wage and flight attendants deserve more, especially for the work they do.
