Ohio AFL-CIO Hosts 12th Annual Union Sportsmen's Alliance Dinner

Last Friday, the Ohio AFL-CIO hosted its annual Union Sportsmen's Alliance (USA) dinner, the highest-grossing USA event in the country.

The USA is a union-operated, union-dedicated, conservation organization. It is committed to uniting the more than six million active and retired AFL-CIO trade union members who hunt, fish, shoot and recreate outdoors into one community with a shared commitment to educate future generations of sportsmen and sportswomen, conserve healthy wildlife habitat and volunteer their time and skills for projects that improve outdoor access for all.

Proceeds from each annua dinner are held aside for conservation and restoration projects across Ohio, which include the clean-up and renovation of Lakeside Park in Dayton and a new pier at Antrim Lake in Columbus.

"I am always humbled at the number of union members who travel across the state to join over 500 of their fellow union sportsmen and woman and outdoor enthusiasts every year," said Ohio AFL-CIO Tim Burga. "It truly is a priveledge to spend an evening with so many members who want to give back to our land."
