Machinist Union Endorses Amy Acton For Governor

Ohio’s State Council of Machinists endorsed Amy Acton’s campaign for governor, citing her commitment to protecting union jobs, lowering costs, supporting working families, and making Ohio more affordable for everyone.

“The Ohio State Council of Machinists is excited to endorse Dr. Amy Acton’s campaign to be the next governor of Ohio,” said D. Scott Rich, the President of the Ohio State Council of Machinists. “Dr. Acton is committed to keeping right-to-work out of Ohio, bringing down costs, providing crucial support for our working families, and making Ohio more affordable.”

“I am honored to receive the support of the Ohio State Council of Machinists,” said Dr. Amy Acton. “As the granddaughter of a union worker and a long-time labor family, I know firsthand the critical role unions play in Ohio’s communities. As governor, I will veto any attempts to bring right-to-work to Ohio, lead with our labor values, and will work every single day to bring down costs for hardworking Ohioans.”

There are 20,000 active and retired Machinists Union members across Ohio.
