The Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council Endorses Dr. Amy Acton’s Campaign for Governor
The Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council endorsed Amy Acton’s campaign for governor, citing her commitment to keep Ohio’s unions strong, her focus on lowering costs for Ohioans, and her commitment to working families.
The Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council represents 18,000 members across 23 local unions. It is the second regional construction trades council to break with the statewide chapter, Affiliated Construction Trades (ACT), which endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for governor.
“The Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council is honored and proud to endorse Dr. Amy Acton for Governor of the State of Ohio. Dr. Acton will take on corruption, lower costs for working families, and protect our unions,” said Dorsey Hager, the Executive Secretary of the Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council. “Dr. Acton’s personal story and experience finding a pathway to the middle class is similar to the experience of so many of our members. It will allow her to connect with people from all walks of life, and it will make her a great Governor.”
