Union Reaches Agreement With Freudenberg NOK After Nearly 8-Week Strike

Workers at Freudenberg NOK have reached an agreement with the company following a nearly eight week-long strike, UAW Region 2B said in a Facebook post Monday morning.

UAW Local 1327 and Freudenberg NOK in Findlay reached the agreement over the weekend, the regional union said.

"Thank you to all the Local unions and CAP councils for the support for the striking members," UAW Region 2B said in the post. "Your solidarity helped them keep up this just and important fight. When we stand together, we win!"

Workers went on strike on March 24, walking off the job for "fair wages, strong benefits, and better working conditions," the union wrote at the time.

Josh McDonald, Local 1327's bargaining committee recording secretary, told WTOL 11 in March it was the first time the facility had been on strike. He said the major concerns were better wages, better healthcare and safety. The union's contract expired on March 19.
